Product Overview
The Heli CPD25-H3 is the lithium variant of the 2.5-ton electric platform — an 80V LFP (lithium iron phosphate) battery in place of the lead-acid pack used in the G-Series counterpart. Same Curtis-class controller and AC drive train, but the energy density and discharge curve fundamentally change the truck's economics. Single-shift operations get 8+ hours of runtime on a 1.5-hour opportunity charge. Two-shift operations skip the spare-pack swap entirely.
The lithium catch: BMS (Battery Management System) compatibility. The H3 series uses a proprietary CAN-bus BMS that talks to the truck's controller — generic chargers won't handshake and won't complete a full charge cycle. You need either the OEM Heli charger or an aftermarket charger with verified CAN protocol support for the H3 BMS. Don't buy on price alone here; a $400 generic charger will permanently undercharge an $8,000 pack.
